I am a simple poet. My words spill like marbles from the mouth of a mason jar tumbling off the page disappearing into the corners of rooms searching for you. You see, I have spent seconds upon hours between decades and milliseconds waiting for your reply; Waiting at the junction of my sincerity and your indecision. I beg a simple plea: Get to know me. He waits there, every morning, with steady hand and sleep-held eyes, capturing some piece of a dream with shutter and flash, holding, holding, holding for God-knows-what. But he-knows-what, bundled up in jackets and coats to fend away the cutting cold outside. Slowly he peels the layers. His muscles stride out in easy rhythm: "find, focus, flash. Find, focus, flash…."
